Imagination Game Insane

Final

This was the final project of my animation e-communications class. In this project we made an animation encompassing the skills we've learned in this semester. The scope of the project was to make a masterpiece of what we learned to showcase our skills and how we can work as a team.

Process

The amount of idea making and preplanning was a long time. In this time I drew the story board and helped make ideas that my partners Brooke and Jacquelynn provided into making too. After that we went and filmed in the hallway we went into the green screen room and filmed to make the stadium scene.

When we finished filming we went into Maya and created the 3D soccer ball that is in the video.

Once we added in the soccer ball to the video in Adobe After Effects, we added in the explosion effect when the ball hits the wall.

Lastly, we found sound effects from freesound.org  and then placed them into the video and then rendered the animation out.

Overall:

What I learned from this project was the importance of planning things out and pre working instead of procrastinating everything. On the software of after effects I learned how to make things look like a transition and the importance of labeling all the clips. The amount of team work put in was very helpful too. Brooke did a lot of planning and the filming of the scenes and Jacquelynn helped a lot  in Maya and After Effects.

Next Time:

The next time if I could do this project over and redo some things it would be the sound effects at the end. Another thing that I would change would be the soccer ball being a little darker so it doesn't just look like it's there. One more thing I would change is the audio levels of the crowd to make it just a tad louder.

Overall, I would keep everything else the same because it looked very good and turned out to be very well. This project turned out very well and impressed me a lot. The whole creation and planning of this project I would keep the same because it was so much fun.

Conclusion:

What I have withdrawn from making this animation is the better skills of working with others to collaborate and make a better project. Another thing learned was the importance of tiny details in an animation that you wouldn't think makes a difference. Lastly, I brought the skills of how to plan and be proactive instead or wasting time.

In conclusion next time I will make sure that all the little details are very precise and compliment to the video. The ability to work as a group on the animation was very eye opening and fun. This project, overall, was very fun to create and I will miss taking this class and creating these projects next year.
